As more and more troops are –thankfully – returning home to their families they are finding that the welcome mat does not always extend to an employer’s door. We want to give back to those who gave so unselfishly so that we can live in peace and prosperity. Edible Arrangements has long had a program for veterans to encourage them to purchase a franchise and be their own boss, but in these times, we felt we had to do more. We decided that the best hand up was to improve upon our existing program, and make it easier for vets to fund the initial purchase of a franchise and be on their way to owning their own business enterprise. That is why we have just doubled our veteran’s discount from $5,000 to $10,000 off the franchise fee. This savings of $10,000 is offered to all qualified U.S. veterans to demonstrate our gratitude for their service as well as our commitment to assisting more veterans make the transition from the military to the civilian and business community.

They are proven leaders, dedicated and disciplined businesspeople with a drive to succeed – exactly the kind of person we look for to be a standard bearer for our brand. According to a recent study conducted for the International Franchise Association Educational Foundation, one out of every seven franchise businesses are owned and operated by veterans of the U.S. military, based on U.S. Census data. More than 66,000 veteran-owned franchise businesses in the U.S. provide jobs directly for 815,000 Americans, and generate more than $41 billion in GDP. We are proud to do our part to help more veterans join these ranks of successful business owners and job-creators.
